Traditional Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage is an intensely relaxing treatment targeting the head, neck, face, shoulders, upper back, and arms. It relieves stress and tension while promoting balance to the body’s energies.

Used in India for over 3,000 years as part of Ayurveda, this massage supports long life, wellbeing, and deep relaxation.

  • Boosts memory and mental clarity
  • Deeply relaxes muscles and tension areas

What to Expect during Indian Head Massage

Treatments last 40–60 minutes, with your first session including a preliminary health and lifestyle consultation. You will remove clothing covering the shoulders and upper arms; a soft robe is provided.

Sessions can be performed seated or lying down and involve the use of nourishing oils for hair and skin.

The treatment flows through:

  • Shoulders, Upper Arms & Back: Relieving tension around shoulder blades and upper back.
  • Neck: Flowing motions, massaging and stretching to relieve tightness.
  • Scalp & Head: Targeting acupressure points, stimulating circulation and relaxation.
  • Face: Massage along Marma points, sinus areas, jaw, ears, and temples to release tension and balance energy.

Hair should be tied back if shoulder length or longer. Oils are used, so consider bringing a hat.
